Kentucky Mandolins

Kentucky KM-1500

The new master model KM-1500 from Kentucky® uses the finest, most highly figured Michigan Maple combined with the whitest, most fine-grained Adirondack spruce. These solid woods are meticulously handcarved and graduated — just as were the fabled originals of the early ’20s — to achieve the finest tone quality and volume possible in a new instrument. The delicately shaded Cremona sunburst finish is as close to the originals as you will ever see. The elegantly gold-plated and engraved tuning machines and tailpiece are in perfect harmony with the understated elegance of the finish and workmanship. Perhaps the crowning touch of elegance on the new KM-1500 is the traditional “Fern” inlay of abalone pearl, carefully inlaid in just below the white pearl.

  • Finest solid, handcarved and graduated Adirondack spruce top

Kentucky KM-150

The Kentucky KM-150 mandolin is the best value available in an all-solid, traditionally designed, A-style instrument that beautifully combines period-correct vintage specifications with an amazingly affordable price. When it comes to tone and playability, the KM-150 also excels. To achieve the best tone and volume possible, select solid spruce - meticulously hand-carved and graduated - is used for the top, while select solid maple is used for the back and sides. A solid maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and traditional snakehead-shaped peghead is attached to the body by a modified dovetail neck-body joint not only adds to the authentic look, but also has a comfortable shape that is easy to play, and offers a lifetime of serviceability. Top everything off with a set of accurate, open-geared tuners, an adjustable rosewood bridge and tuning will be easy, accurate and with perfect intonation every time. No other instrument in its class even comes close in tone, value and dependability.
